How to Move a Stuck Luraush Carriage Safely

During transit, the Luraush reformer carriage may shift and move beyond the stoppers. Because the Luraush carriage is not designed to be freely movable, it must be reset carefully before regular use.

Important Safety Note

Do not try to fix the carriage alone. Always have another person hold the carriage securely so it does not slide or drop while the stoppers are removed.

Luraush reformer in standing position for carriage adjustment

Start by placing the reformer in the standing position, as shown above.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Place the reformer in standing position

Carefully lift and set the reformer into the standing position. Make sure it is stable before touching the carriage or stoppers.

2

Have someone hold the carriage from the top

Ask another person to securely hold the carriage so it does not slide downward or drop once the stoppers are removed.

3

Remove the stoppers

While the carriage is being held, carefully remove the stoppers. Keep your hands clear of pinch points and do not release the carriage.

4

Unfold the reformer carefully

Slowly unfold the reformer while the carriage remains controlled. Do not let the carriage move freely without the stoppers in place.

5

Install the shoulder rests for better control

It is recommended to assemble the shoulder rests before moving the carriage back into place. This gives you a safer grip point while adjusting the carriage.

6

Reset the carriage and reinstall the stoppers

Once the reformer is unfolded and the carriage is positioned correctly, reinstall the stoppers securely before using the machine.

Before Using the Reformer

  • Confirm both stoppers are fully installed.
  • Make sure the carriage glides only within the correct track area.
  • Check that the shoulder rests are secure.
  • Do not use the reformer if the carriage still feels stuck or unstable.
